Brownstone High School
A huge, nearly symmetrical two-story high school with very long hallways and more than 60 rooms. It’s easy to get lost because both sides look alike, and the Basketball Court leaves a big gap in the middle of the second floor.

- There are 5 hiding spots: the Library, Classrooms 6 and 8 and both female bathrooms. On Intermediate you get 1 and on Professional and up, none (plus the extra ones for 3 or 4 players).
Restricted: second floor, left
- The main door is blocked: you go in through the left side exit (the one with a light outside). On the first floor you can only use the stairs and the corridor that leads to them; upstairs, the front-left quarter and the Lecture Hall are open.
- Six cursed possessions sit on a bench in front of the stairs, in the First Floor Main Corridor. The Summoning Circle is upstairs in the Main Corridor, in front of Classroom 21.
- There are 4 hiding spots (Classrooms 20 and 33 and both upstairs male bathrooms), and they’re all available only on Amateur; from Intermediate up you only get the extra ones for 3 or 4 players.

A schematic plan, without doors or windows: each shape is a room as the game counts it (the Ouija Board, Ghost Orbs and the ghost room use these boundaries). The fuse box spawns in one of the marked spots.
Misleading rooms
The game splits some rooms differently from how they look. It matters for the Ouija Board, Ghost Orbs and the ghost room.
- There are four pairs of bathrooms, one per side on each floor: the male ones on the left and the female ones on the right. In each pair, the teachers’ bathroom sits behind the students’ one, toward the back.
- Classrooms 1 to 19 are on the first floor; 20 and up are on the second floor.
- Each floor has three corridors (main, left and right), and none of them can be the favorite room. On the first floor the stairwell area counts as the Main Corridor; on the second floor, as the Left or Right Corridor.

From Intermediate up, a 3-player game gets 1 more and a 4-player game, 2 more.
- The map is so big that sometimes you don’t need to hide at all: if you’re far from the ghost and it hasn’t detected you, it’s very unlikely to wander over to you by chance.
- The downside is that it’s hard to notice a hunt has started, especially in the hallways. Keep talking to each other, leave the exit doors open so you can see or hear them slam, and try a light switch every now and then: if it won’t turn on, the ghost is hunting.

Where to loop the ghost
- The hallways are long and straight, so running nonstop to escape is almost impossible.
- The ghost can walk through many of the teachers’ desks, so they’re no good for looping.

Where each cursed possession spawns when the contract has one.

Behind the right column in the Lobby.

Tips
- The closest entrance is far from the truck, so it’s worth staging your gear next to the building before going in.
- The back doors lead to a yard with an outdoor basketball court. It’s a safe zone: your sanity doesn’t drop there.
- The Lobby, all six corridors, the Basketball Court and the Lecture Hall are dim: even with the lights on, your sanity drops almost as if it were dark (at 80%). Classroom 10 has no main light.
- The ghost can’t do ghost events on you while you’re in a corridor.
- Besides doors and windows, fingerprints can show up on the bathroom mirrors.
- Bone: They spawn randomly in any room that can be the favorite room, but never in the Lobby, the Basketball Court, the Cafeteria or the Lecture Hall. If the game tries to put it in the stalls of the downstairs boys’ or girls’ bathroom, it shows up on the other side of the wall, in the First Floor Main Corridor.
Trivia
- It was the game’s first medium map and later became a large one: the first map ever to change size.
- It has more playable area than Sunny Meadows, the other large map.
- The Second Floor Main Corridor and the Basketball Court are among the largest rooms in the game.
- Every classroom has a phone the ghost can make ring.
